I designed this nutcracker as a Christmas present for my parents several years ago. Using a cutoff piece of steel pipe I drilled a hole and threaded it, screwing a steel rod through with a nut on the end to secure the nuts. I then drilled a handle onto it which I sanded and beeswaxed to create the finished product, using epoxy resin to glue it to a stand.
